US Federal Trade Commission's whipping down the speed throttling TracFone to customers who pay for unlimited data service. In this case refers only to TracFone, but it helps to reinforce the case, which can be used to align the large media in the United States.
AT & T and Verizon does not offer unlimited data plans more like Sprint and T-Mobile to do, and as implemented some form of slowing down. Throttle Sprint comes only on heavy users in congested areas (practice Verizon considered for the old unlimited but departed from).

Then it shouldn't be called 'unlimited data' and should be called 'throttled data plans' instead. It is like paying for a all you can eat buffet but you're allowed to eat certain dishes only.

Been well known in the UK that unlimited doesn't mean unlimited, never confirmed but rumours are 3gb max then data speed throttled, networks in question are Virgin and 02.....no idea about Three though.

Well this is good the FCC is doing something, however, this does not stop the practice of throttling. Customers who pay for unlimited data should get just that without the threat of slowdowns after reaching some arbitrary cap.
