Samsung will launch its Z1 smartphone in India this week, the device was launched with a price tag of INR 5700 ($ 92).
First Tizen OS-smartphone in the country, and is available in white, black, and red wine colors.
Samsung Z1 is powered by a chipset Spreadtrum SC7727S, containing 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and Mali 400 GPU.Smartfon sports a 4-inch WVGA display, and runs Tizen OS 2.3.

Good riddance Google adware. Helloooo sweet smell of freedom. Unless Samsung start monetizing their customers' data. Anyhow, at the moment I prefer Samsung shackles to Google shackles.

Samsung could update some older phones from Android to Tizen (like with first Gear). It can run Android apps, battery will last for longer - ideal solution how to quickly get many new Tizen users/developers/testers.
