This is good news. Samsung being so dominant has not been good for anyone, diversification of the market is a great thing for Android. Hopefully Sony, Motorola and others will have some luck too.

I'm riding out this year with the Note Edge. Next spring I may consider scaling down to a 5.5" or smaller screen. I'm hoping at that time there will be some great contenders in the phone arena that can pull me away from Samsung. I doubt it, but it would be great for the entire industry.

Good for them. I wanna see what they have in store for the LG G4. If they keep everything on the G3 but throw in a higher-quality 1440p screen and add a metal chassis, they can just take my money.
